About the position

The Warehouse/Metal Processing/Driver position at Metal Supermarkets Tampa involves fulfilling customer orders by cutting or shearing metal materials to size, managing inventory, and ensuring safe delivery and pickup of materials. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized work environment while operating machinery and handling metal products. This position is essential for supporting the growth of the business and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill customer orders by cutting or shearing material to size.
• Complete receiving and shipping paperwork.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Maintain an organized inventory and conduct regular inventory counts.
• Prepare customer orders based on material and size.
• Pickup or deliver material from suppliers and customers safely and courteously.
• Provide proper basic maintenance of equipment and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Receive, identify, and stock incoming materials as per Receiving Procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

• Some experience with machines such as a band saw or shear is a plus.
• Ability to learn and operate a metal band saw and metal shear.
• Basic math skills and ability to utilize measuring tools such as a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer.
• Clean driving record and valid Driver's License required.
• Must be a lawful resident of the United States eligible for employment.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
• Experience in a machine shop or fabrication shop is a plus.
