The Warehouse Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in the efficient functioning of the warehouse by assisting and coordinating the activities of warehouse workers involved in receiving and distributing building material products. This position is responsible for ensuring that all operations comply with the organization's policies and applicable laws. The coordinator will carry out process control responsibilities, which include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as planning, assigning, and directing their work. Maintaining and enforcing all company procedures, policies, and practices is a key aspect of this role. In addition to overseeing daily operations, the Warehouse Operations Coordinator is tasked with document processing for all outbound Less Than Truckload (LTL) and Parcel shipments. This includes ensuring that all shipments have the proper Proof of Delivery (POD) documents as per customer and company requirements, and confirming deliveries. The coordinator will also schedule work for special and periodic inventories, assist in periodic cycle counting of inventory, and trace the history of items to identify discrepancies between inventory and stock control records, recommending remedial actions as necessary. The role requires maintaining a calendar schedule for all inbound freight and working closely with dedicated carriers to ensure efficient and safe routing of delivery trucks. The coordinator is responsible for coordinating will call orders in a safe and service-friendly manner, as well as maintaining and caring for company-owned or leased equipment, ensuring that all Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) equipment inspections are completed and records retained. Additionally, the coordinator will upload all required documentation onto a secured network, receive stock into the warehouse, and notify the purchasing agent of any discrepancies between shipments and purchase orders. Printing daily production work along with corresponding shipping documents and assisting with monthly warehouse safety inspections are also part of the responsibilities. The position requires consistent attendance and punctuality, as the work must be conducted at the assigned office, with remote work not being practical. The Warehouse Operations Coordinator must take personal responsibility for safety and have knowledge of effective safety and health management policies and procedures, ensuring that employees are trained and that safety programs are active.
