This position is responsible for coordinating warehouse inventory activities including inbound and internal processes. The warehouse coordinator will complete, lead and monitor completion of inventory management tasks under the guidance of the Materials Manager and heavy coordination with department personnel. The warehouse coordinator will partner closely with the materials team to ensure ingredient and packaging materials warehouse activities are effectively scheduled and executed. This includes monitoring and coordinating the inbound receiving activities, specifically the physical warehouse activities and transactions to ensure accuracy. The role involves creating and releasing waves and managing tasks for picking product for shipment, receiving raw materials from vendors and STOs, and coordinating the flow of raw materials between the facility and off-site warehouses. Additionally, the coordinator will create and manage batches for bulk commodities, reconcile and correct variances in raw material and bulk commodity inventories, and perform physical inventory counts as necessary. The position also requires managing systematic consumption and inventory of chemicals, creating, assigning, and completing inventory control tasks in conjunction with the inventory control coordinator, and supporting inventory control activities to include identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from the use of exception codes. Adherence to the Saputo code of ethics and active application of the Saputo values is essential, as is working together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel. Other duties may be requested, directed, or assigned as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate warehouse inventory activities including inbound and internal processes.
  • Complete, lead, and monitor completion of inventory management tasks under the guidance of the Materials Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Preferred, 2-year degree in supply chain management or inventory control management.
  • Two years in a lead warehouse role, directly in a warehouse, logistics, transportation or distribution center environment.
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced experience with word processing, spreadsheet applications and specialized inventory control software programs, SAP a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer orders, inventory reports, operating procedures to ensure documents are audited and accurate.
  • Ability to generate reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written.
  • Must have excellent mathematical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
