The Warehouse Operations Coordinator for the Water Protection Division plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the Water System. This position is responsible for coordinating data and reporting related to inventory and asset management across four water reclamation facilities. The coordinator will monitor warehouse operations, manage software related to these activities, and provide lead guidance, training, and direction to assigned staff. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure efficient workflow by coordinating, prioritizing, assigning, tracking, and processing work requests while also providing routine administrative support for the department. In this role, the coordinator will lead and coordinate daily work activities of assigned co-workers, conferring with supervisors to obtain direction regarding work assignments and priorities. They will organize tasks to complete assigned work, monitor the status of work in progress, and inspect completed work. The coordinator will assist with complex or problematic situations, provide technical expertise, and help train co-workers on operational procedures and proper equipment usage. Additionally, they will assist in supervising co-workers by reporting employee issues and providing input on disciplinary actions and performance evaluations. The coordinator will also be responsible for receiving and processing work order requests, prioritizing and assigning these requests according to unit policies and procedures. They will utilize a computerized work order system to enter and track work orders, ensuring all relevant information is recorded. The role involves maintaining records of outstanding work orders, investigating their status, and providing technical support to technicians as needed. Furthermore, the coordinator will perform various administrative duties, including answering phones, processing unit mail, and managing invoices in financial software. They will compile data for department reports and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
