About the position

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Warehouse Operations Director to oversee the strategic operations of three (3) of our warehouse facilities across multiple locations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective inventory management, order fulfillment, and adherence to safety protocols across all sites. This position will be based in the greater Phoenix area, where you will lead a team dedicated to optimizing warehouse operations and enhancing overall productivity. As the Warehouse Operations Director, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for all warehouse operations across multiple locations. You will develop and implement performance metrics to track and improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across all sites. Your oversight will include inventory management, which encompasses receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices. Safety is a top priority, and you will implement and maintain warehouse safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. You will also be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising warehouse personnel across all locations, fostering a collaborative work environment through positive working relationships with staff. Regular performance reviews and ongoing coaching and development for warehouse staff will be part of your responsibilities. In addition to managing warehouse budgets and overseeing equipment maintenance and repairs, you will collaborate with transportation and logistics teams to optimize shipping and receiving processes. Clear and consistent communication with senior management regarding warehouse performance and operational needs will be essential. You will also identify and implement process improvements to enhance overall warehouse efficiency and achieve cost savings. Utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory, manage labor, and generate reports will be a key aspect of your role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a multi-site environment.
  • Proven track record of improving warehouse efficiency and productivity.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
  • Valid forklift operator license preferred.
