About the position

As a Warehouse Operations Manager at Agilent Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in leading logistics work groups across multiple processes and regions. This position is critical for Inventory Operations at the RLC-A site in Memphis, TN, where you will oversee all aspects of inventory management and quality processes. Your responsibilities will include designing, leading, and driving tactical plans, as well as developing and implementing multi-business programs to ensure the delivery of the right product to the right place at the right price. You will manage a department of over 30 associates, including 3 supervisors and 3 team leads, and will be responsible for maintaining a 24-hour operation window of inventory accuracy and availability to support the significant revenue generated at the site, which exceeds $5 million per day. In this role, you will be tasked with creating and maintaining available storage bins for all inventory items across various storage locations, implementing cycle counts for inventory items valued at over $155 million, and ensuring that financial adjustments remain within a +/-2% net tolerance limit. You will also oversee product preservation and the maintenance of shelf-life products, manage time-sensitive Engineering Change Orders, and ensure compliance with internal and external audits. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that product is readily available to support over 1500 deliveries each day for Trade, Service, and STO orders. Additionally, you will provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback for your team, manage or participate in projects, maintain accurate data reporting, and collaborate closely with other operations managers at the Memphis site to ensure accurate delivery to customers. You will also be responsible for managing requests for internal orders and ensuring timely shipment and reporting, while building and maintaining process documents and detailed work instructions. Your role will require excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as you will participate in site meetings and communicate with higher-level management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of inventory management and quality processes.
  • Manage a department of over 30 associates, including 3 supervisors and 3 team leads.

  • Manage bin verifications, reslotting, and material movements.
  • Investigate DEFOA claims and perform root cause analysis for quality management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback for the team.
  • Maintain and report accurate data related to inventory and operations.
  • Collaborate with other operations managers to ensure accurate delivery to customers.
  • Manage requests for internal orders and ensure timely shipment and reporting.
  • Build and maintain process documents and detailed work instructions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent plus directly relevant experience.
  • 1+ years experience leading people, projects, and/or programs.
  • 10+ years' experience in logistics operations, purchasing, and inventory management.
  • SAP experience required, with 5+ years in first-level management.
  • Strong management ability to work in a dynamic environment and lead diverse teams.
  • Experience leading critical projects and balancing multiple assignments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software packages.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to develop business relationships with internal and external customers.
