About the position

The Warehouse Operations Manager at The Virtual Forge is a crucial role responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of goods within a fulfillment center. This position requires strategic planning and management of people, processes, and systems to ensure effective operations while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The manager will facilitate communication between various stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and employees, to ensure smooth fulfillment processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
• Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure proper performance.
• Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staffing for effective performance.
• Resolve personnel problems, complaints, and formal grievances, referring them to higher-level supervisors when necessary.
• Counsel employees in work-related activities, personal growth, and career development.
• Maintain accurate and timely order fulfillment and shipping from the team.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation among staff.
• Assist with moving customer-supplied products and materials to and from storage areas and loading docks.
• Read work orders and/or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material needs.
• Facilitate picking and fulfilling orders from stock by reviewing packing slips for required product details.
• Assist in packing and shipping fulfilled orders.
• Help manage and organize product and literature inventory.
• Maintain appropriate fulfillment and shipping supply stock.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Inform designated employees or departments of any problems encountered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Four years of relevant experience in fulfillment operations processes.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Experience scanning inbound and outbound inventory.
• Experience performing inventory reconciliation.
• A minimum of one year experience leading a team.
• Strong math aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
