About the position
OnTrac is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and manage various activities within the warehouse. This role involves collaborating with the General Manager and AM Manager to develop plans that align with both short and long-term objectives. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a commitment to safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all warehouse operations activities.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and AM Manager to create operational plans.
- Review, analyze, and create KPIs to meet business needs.
- Plan and coordinate sort start times and staffing strategies.
- Develop and mentor team members to achieve goals and support professional development.
- Champion the safety program to ensure a compliant working environment.
- Analyze and reorganize training and labor law compliance.
Requirements
- GED/Diploma required; college degree preferred.
- Four years of experience in logistics and/or transportation, or less with a college degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing people, with at least 1 year in a similar industry.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to provide constructive feedback.
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly desired.
