About the position

The Warehouse Operations Specialist at PGL is responsible for planning and coordinating logistics services, storage, and distribution operations. This entry-level position involves handling various tasks related to the movement and management of goods, ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate logistics services, storage, and distribution operations.
• Pack, re-pack, unload, and position products in or around transportation vehicles.
• Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
• Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material needs.
• Record numbers of units handled or moved using operational documents.
• Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas.
• Sort, record, and organize cargo/customer goods before loading and unloading.
• Confer with customers to provide information about products or services and take orders.
• Keep records of customer interactions or transactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Under 1 year of related experience.
• Knowledge of transportation principles and methods for moving goods.
• Customer service skills and knowledge of customer needs assessment.
• Understanding of production processes and quality control.

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Familiarity with MRP systems.
• Basic writing skills.
