The Warehouse Operations Supervisor at Siemens Mobility will lead a team of Warehouse Technicians in a dynamic warehouse environment, ensuring efficient material handling to support the production of rail vehicles. This role focuses on managing various warehouse activities including receiving, put away, picking, kitting, and delivery of materials, while also interacting with the MRP system for accurate tracking of material movements.

  • Lead a team of Warehouse Technicians to support the receiving, put away, picking, kitting, or delivery of material to production.
  • Promote a safe environment and meet safety requirements complying with company policies and regulations.
  • Ensure all employees are adequately trained and competent to perform their assigned tasks.
  • Identify and implement improvements in overall workflow and standard work practices.
  • Ensure transactional accuracy for all material movements and MRP system transactions are completed correctly.
  • Maintain department KPIs along with benchmarks and targets to provide a clear indication of department performance, trends, and potential problem areas.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and provide meaningful feedback for employee development.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years previous experience in leading/managing employees in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and transactions, specifically SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities across projects with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to drive accountability and results.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others, as well as independently.
  • Ability to make sound business and production decisions when faced with ambiguity and complexity.
