About the position

The Warehouse Operator - Inventory Control position at World Wide Technology involves managing the receipt, movement, picking, and shipping of products within the warehouse. The position requires operating various warehouse equipment, including Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), and working in a fast-paced environment to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities

• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Receive, move, pick, and ship products throughout the warehouse.
• Apply and scan labels to ensure proper tracking of products.
• Ensure all products are safely and securely loaded or stored.
• Identify areas for efficiency and process improvement within the work area.
• Implement process improvements and track progress using established tools and techniques.
• Collect information to understand problems and identify their origins.
• Research solutions for routine problems and implement prescribed steps for resolution.
• Work with supervisors to set goals and manage time efficiently to accomplish tasks.
• Promote a clean and organized warehouse operation following 5S principles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 2+ years of warehousing experience.
• Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) and other warehouse equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
