About the position

The Warehouse Operator position involves the handling, packaging, and storage of chemical products in a warehouse environment. The role requires operating forklifts, performing minor maintenance on equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The operator will also participate in inventory management and maintain cleanliness in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Packaging, filling, labeling, and storage of drummed chemicals or chemical blends.
• Handling and storage of factory packaged products in bags, drums, pails, super sacks, etc.
• Loading or unloading of bulk, drummed, or bagged material from railcars and trucks.
• Operating a forklift.
• Performing minor maintenance on trucks or plant equipment.
• Securing dual sign off before transferring any product from one vessel to another.
• Properly using materials such as labels, placards, stenciling, and paint.
• Caring for and using all equipment such as forklifts, drum handling equipment, pumps, hoses, etc.
• Participating in inventory requirements, counting reconciliation, and recounts as required.
• Keeping work areas clean and orderly, including picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, painting, and emptying trash.
• Following all operating procedures, work instructions, and being familiar with the quality system manual.
• Reporting all non-conformances as they occur using proper forms.
• Attending and actively participating in all safety and quality meetings as required.
• Performing all duties in a safe manner and following all rules and regulations.
• Completing all training as required in the Regulatory/Compliance Training Program.
• Performing and completing other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED Required.
• 2+ years of experience in a warehouse/industrial environment.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to wear proper PPE such as safety goggles/glasses, Tyvek suits, steel toed boots.
• Comfortable with the use of a forklift and general warehouse duties.
• Must be able to give and receive verbal and written instructions in the English language.
