As a Warehouse Operator, you will perform all duties in strict adherence to company safety and environmental policies. Your responsibilities will include reading delivery tickets or purchase orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. You will analyze incoming bulk materials according to procedures and notify your supervisor of any variances from specifications. Operating a lift truck and maintaining a daily checklist will be part of your role. You will unload cargo tanks of chemicals, lubricants, or fuels into the correct bulk storage tanks, maintain storage tanks and shipping containers, and load cargo tanks with bulk chemicals, lubricants, or fuels from storage. Additionally, you will load drums, tote tanks, and other containers onto trucks, repackage bulk products into drums, pails, and/or totes according to repackaging agreements, and convey materials and items from receiving areas to storage or other designated areas. Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code will also be required. You will mark materials and containers with identifying information according to company and regulatory requirements, record amounts of materials or items received or distributed, control and maintain inventory records, and maintain an appropriate level of housekeeping according to company standards. Reporting accidents and/or incidents to your supervisor and participating in ongoing safety programs, including safety meetings and training, will be essential.
