About the position

Then becoming an Order Selector for Jewel-Osco is the right role for you! Starting pay is $19.53 an hour, paid on a weekly basis. With potential to make $23.31 after one year and $30.65 per hour after four years of employment, plus a $4,000 Retention Bonus possible. Order Selectors are active throughout their day working independently using a voice-controlled system to select full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products using powered pallet jacks. You will palletize cases and prepare pallets to ship to your local Jewel Osco stores, all while being a safety champion. Reliability is key, as you are part of a larger team that will depend on you to be punctual and deliver on a daily basis. We are hiring for all shifts, and weekend and holiday availability is required. This is a union warehouse with days off and shifts being based on seniority. Responsibilities
- Select full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products using a voice-controlled system.
- Palletize cases and prepare pallets for shipment to local Jewel Osco stores.
- Ensure safety and reliability in daily operations.
- Work independently while being part of a larger team.
- Maintain accuracy in case selection and detail orientation.
Requirements
- 1 year of bulk selection warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and heavy warehouse equipment preferred.
- Ability to lift bulk cases averaging 18lbs and weighing up to 80lbs.
- Comfortable bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking for shifts ranging from 8-10 hours.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in case selection.
- Reliable and punctual.
