The Warehouse Person (Loader) position at PBNA is a labor-intensive role that involves hand building pallets of products for bulk and route trucks. This position requires strict attention to order accuracy, ensuring that outgoing trucks are loaded correctly and incoming trucks are unloaded efficiently. Employees will work from an electronic order system or order sheets to build loads, utilizing a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Accuracy in loading and compliance with shipper/receiver documentation is crucial. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe work environment, which is essential for operational efficiency and safety standards. The position may require working in various weather conditions and the hours can vary daily based on workload. The loading process includes transporting full pallets of products from the warehouse to trailers and unloading returned pallets and plastic flats. Bulk truck loading requires selecting specific packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and loading them onto pallets, ensuring the stability of the pallet through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. Most pallets are loaded onto trailers for local delivery, and the position also involves unloading returned products and pallets. Route truck loading involves selecting designated packages and flavors or pallets of products from the warehouse and loading them into trucks, with customization based on salespersons' orders. The role demands lifting a high volume of cases, typically between 20-45 pounds, repeatedly throughout the work period. Constant physical activity is required, including standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and grasping as products are moved.
