The position involves working a 12-hour Dupont schedule, where adherence to safety rules and work instructions is paramount. Employees are expected to operate processing equipment according to established procedures, monitor equipment performance, and ensure that production processes run smoothly at desired rates. The role also includes responsibilities such as conducting initial product testing, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and company procedures. Team members will be involved in the unloading and loading of trucks and containers, maintaining the condition of transport vehicles, and preparing orders accurately and timely. The position requires effective communication and cooperation with supervisors and coworkers, as well as maintaining a clean working environment and adhering to housekeeping standards. Overall, this role is crucial in supporting the operational efficiency and safety of H.B. Fuller's warehouse activities.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all work instructions and safety rules without exception and encourage peers to do the same.
  • Operate processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures.
  • Monitor equipment to keep processes running at desired run rates.
  • Complete initial testing and release of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Carry out internal transfers of products using FIFO methodology.
  • Take samples for analysis in the Quality Control Laboratory when requested during raw material reception.
  • Store items according to established procedures, ensuring proper storage and stock rotation.
  • Notify the supervisor of any non-conforming products received.
  • Unload and load trucks, containers, and road tankers (bulk and packed).
  • Participate in freight management under supervision.
  • Ensure the good condition of transport vehicles to prevent product damage.
  • Prepare orders accurately and timely, pulling products and preparing packages for delivery.
  • Keep all paperwork up to date and carry out daily inventory.
  • Maintain a clean working area and dispose of used containers according to housekeeping rules.
  • Maintain all equipment used in warehouse activities in a clean and well-kept condition, reporting defects to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments involved in warehouse activities.
  • Complete daily checklist of forklifts and carry out any other duties requested by the Supervisor.
  • Anticipate problems and take preventative actions.

Requirements

  • High school degree.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • 2 years of experience in a similar environment and position.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word and Excel) and PRISM or SAP or ERP Environment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures.
