Warehouse/Purchasing Manager

About the position

The Warehouse/Purchasing Manager at K&R Operating is responsible for procuring parts from assigned vendors while ensuring high customer service levels. This role involves processing purchasing and inventory transactions, maintaining vendor relations, and supporting various departments. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of supply chain processes and experience in the gas compression industry.

Responsibilities

• Process basic purchasing/receiving/inventory transactions in a computer system.
• Ensure supplier compliance with all company regulations and requirements, including documentation.
• Monitor and review open purchase orders.
• Handle purchasing issues and maintain strong vendor relations.
• Communicate with and support other departments.
• Be responsible for resource and supply availability and timing.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
• Present a professional image and be available for on-call rotation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of warehouse/procurement industry related experience.
• General knowledge of purchasing processes including purchase orders, sourcing, issuing, shipping or transfer orders.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Gas compression experience.
• Inventory software experience and computer skills.
• Experience in Diesel Engines and Industrial generators.
