About the position

As a Warehouse Quality Control Associate at Staples, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that we deliver essential products to our customers efficiently and safely. This part-time position operates on the 2nd shift, from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the understanding that shifts may extend beyond the scheduled hours based on business needs. You will be expected to work in various roles within the warehouse, including Order Picker, Restocker, Bulk Selector, and Custodian, adapting to the needs of the operation as required. In the Order Picker role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and preparing customer orders to meet daily production goals, which may involve working at heights while adhering to safety protocols. As a Restocker, your duties will include scanning labels, cutting boxes, and restocking shelves to ensure a smooth transition for the next shift. The Bulk Selector position requires you to select products, pull and pack totes, and manage the movement of merchandise onto conveyor belts, all while maintaining safety standards. Additionally, as a Custodian, you will handle general cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring a clean and safe working environment. Safety is a top priority in this role, and you will be expected to embrace and promote safe work practices throughout your shifts. Your ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and customers will be essential in fostering a positive work environment and resolving any issues that may arise. This position requires physical stamina, as you will be on your feet for the duration of your shift and may need to lift and carry products weighing up to 70 pounds. Responsibilities

  • Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and timely to meet daily production goals.
  • Scan labels, cut boxes, and restock shelves to prep work area for the next shift.
  • Select product, pull, and pack totes, as well as cut cases of merchandise and/or stock product.
  • Perform general cleaning and basic maintenance duties inside and outside of the facility.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures in all tasks performed.

Requirements

  • 3 months of warehouse or applicable experience, including fast-food, stockroom, customer service, or package handling.
  • Basic English language skills for verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, or carry product up to a maximum of 70 pounds by hand.
  • Ability to walk and stand for 100% of the time.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice-to-haves
