About the position

The Warehouse Receiver - Freezer position at Performance Food Group involves overseeing the receiving dock area to ensure the accurate receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and supplies delivered to the facility. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and quality standards while maintaining an efficient flow of products through the production process. Responsibilities

• Oversee the receiving dock area to receive, inspect, identify, count, and verify quality and labeling of all materials and supplies delivered to the facility.
• Complete related documentation and coordinate the storage of supplies.
• Enter information into the inventory database and perform related duties necessary for the movement and maintenance of supplies and raw materials.
• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
• Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Review work schedule, perform safety checks on equipment, and prepare for operations.
• Inspect incoming trailers at the loading dock to ensure they meet company quality standards.
• Receive incoming products and supplies and verify items against the bill of lading.
• Perform damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.
• Identify, label, and store supplies according to specifications and enter purchase order data into the inventory system.
• Coordinate and/or unload and transport items to staging areas using a forklift or pallet jack.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and keep the warehouse area, loading dock, and trailers clear and clean as required.
• Secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
• 6 - 12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout the shift
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout the shift
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer, and dry
• Pass pre-employment drug test

Nice-to-haves

• 1-2 years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience
• Pallet jack and/or forklift certified
