About the position
The Warehouse Sanitation role at SpartanNash involves unloading products from trucks, breaking down pallets, and assisting with various warehouse tasks, including sanitation and inventory control. Responsibilities
- Unload products from trucks and breakdown pallets.
- Assist with sanitation duties including cleaning the warehouse and emptying garbage.
- Move and handle cases, boxes, bags, and pallets of various products.
- Fuel, wash, and clean semi-trucks/trailers as assigned.
- Check products for damage and verify accurate quantities received according to purchase orders.
- Complete selection orders and label cases/pallets accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by disposing of trash and cleaning spills.
- Operate power industrial equipment such as electric pallet jacks and high-lifts.
- Report damaged products and notify supervisors of low stock.
- Participate in product rotation and perform other assigned duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of warehouse experience preferred.
- Prior experience operating power industrial equipment such as electric pallet jacks.
- Ability to lift products weighing between 30-60 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to communicate in English, including reading and interpreting order forms.
