About the position

The Sanitation team performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in a warehouse facility, including dry, cooler, and freezer areas. This position may also involve performing similar duties in office areas as assigned. The schedule for this position is Sunday to Thursday from 3:30 PM to 12 AM midnight, with a pay rate of $16.00 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 1-6 months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience
• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 30 lbs. regularly, up to 40 lbs. frequently, and up to 65 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.

Nice-to-haves

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience
• Pallet jack experience a plus
