About the position

The Warehouse Security Team Lead at JCPenney is responsible for overseeing the security operations within the warehouse, ensuring the safety and security of the facility. This role involves leading a team of associates, managing schedules, and maintaining security protocols, including monitoring entrance and exit points, and utilizing CCTV systems. The position requires flexibility in scheduling and may involve working various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train associates in security operations.
• Schedule staff and maintain security posts throughout the facility.
• Implement shrinkage awareness programs and maintain records.
• Utilize CCTV systems for monitoring and security purposes.
• Ensure daily staffing and execution of processes at the facility truck gate.
• Adapt to a flexible work schedule that may change weekly.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and possess strong interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Physical ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, and bend for extended periods.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of CCTV functions and operations.
• 1-3 years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Ability to obtain a PIT equipment operator license.
