About the position
The Warehouse Selector position involves receiving, selecting, storing, and loading products and materials in a warehouse environment. The role requires safe operation of material handling equipment and accurate completion of associated paperwork while maintaining a clean work area. The position is part-time and requires physical stamina and attention to detail to meet safety, accuracy, and productivity standards.
Responsibilities
- Continuously picks, lifts, carries, and places products into pallets to build customer orders in various temperature environments.
- Moves products into trailers or storage units and inspects incoming and outgoing warehouse products for acceptability.
- Reads labels and associated documents, counts, and calculates product quantities to verify shipment accuracy.
- Operates forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently, ensuring an accident-free environment.
- Cleans the work area using brooms, mops, and other cleaning materials, maintaining company standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to perform accurate visual inspections and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Possess reading and basic math skills.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, and twisting while carrying 50-pound objects.
