About the position

The Warehouse Selector plays a crucial role in ensuring that Northgate Markets are stocked with accurately selected products. This position involves operating material handling equipment and performing physical tasks in a multi-temperature environment, including lifting heavy items. The role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and safety of the distribution center, which is vital for the overall success of the supermarket chain.

Responsibilities

• Order selection
• Operate material handling equipment
• Conduct order accuracy audits
• Move goods around the warehouse
• Pack and load goods for shipment
• Select, store, pack, and monitor inventory of products or equipment

Requirements

• Capable of working in a multi-temperature environment
• Ability to walk and stand for multiple hours
• Ability to lift 90+ lbs.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments
• Capable of safely operating material handling equipment
• Detail-oriented

Nice-to-haves

• High school graduate or equivalent education
• Material handling equipment certification (certification will be provided by the company)
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and delivery operations
