About the position

The Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the packaging and shipping functions for orders delivered to the Department of Defense. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing daily activities related to shipping and inventory transactions, ensuring compliance with company procedures, and maintaining accurate records of shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct daily packaging and shipping activities for orders to the Department of Defense.
  • Perform all shipping and inventory transactions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments and produce daily shipping reports and forecasts.
  • Ensure the shipping department is clean, well-organized, and safe at all times.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a shipping department with strong communication skills.
  • Experience with WAWF and DoD shipping preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in a fast-paced packaging and shipping environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, good memory, and attention to detail.
  • Above average computer skills and ability to learn Visual Manufacturing software.
