About the position

The Warehouse Slitter position at Universal Products involves converting master rolls of vinyl into usable sizes for various production processes. This role requires coordination with multiple departments and entails responsibilities such as operating slitting equipment, maintaining work areas, and ensuring the accuracy of finished products.

Responsibilities

• Pull raw-stock vinyl for slit-downs according to F.I.F.O. procedures.
• Coordinate with Rotary, Sheeting, Graphics, Finishing, Planning & Sales Departments.
• Slit accurate widths and lengths of raw-stock vinyl per instructions or procedures.
• Store converted rolls of raw-stock vinyl by size and material type.
• Check all finished work for accuracy.
• Perform preventive maintenance or safety inspections on equipment per schedule.
• Act as a back-up driver for company vehicle to pick up and/or deliver business-related materials and supplies, subject to periodic DOT physicals and/or drug/alcohol screenings.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• 1 year of warehouse experience
• Forklift experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills
• Valid Driver's License
