About the position

Bastian Solutions is seeking a Logistics Consultant for a position within our Software Division, where you will leverage your engineering expertise and customer-focused passion. This role is pivotal in supporting various sales teams and collaborating with other Logistics Consultants to facilitate effective communication regarding software solutions. As a Logistics Consultant, you will be responsible for creating software solutions that are integrated into customer projects, working closely with colleagues and senior management to ensure mutual success for both the company and yourself. In this consulting role, you will participate in engineering studies that include data analysis, system design, and the generation of final reports and presentations. You will also be involved in the lead generation process and maintain project involvement throughout the lifecycle of each project. Acting as a facilitator, you will ensure that all parties, including Bastian Solutions and the customer, are aligned and successful. Building positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, and business partners is essential, as is providing constructive feedback to other functional departments to enhance customer service. Your responsibilities will include producing timely PowerPoint presentations and Exacta demonstrations tailored to prospective customers' needs, as well as creating project proposals in accordance with company policy, which will require review by the VP of Sales. You will be expected to support sold projects through their execution and transition to the support department, participate in industry trade shows, and strive to become an industry speaker while producing white papers. Superior customer service is a key performance indicator, measured by repeat business and reputation. You will also represent and develop key third-party supplier product lines and services effectively. Additionally, you will complete task list items identified by your immediate manager, assist in customer service and support as needed, and demonstrate the ability to target national accounts while developing trusting relationships with clients. This position requires approximately 20% overnight travel, and you will be expected to perform any and all job duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in consulting role for engineering studies including data analysis, system design, and final report/presentation generation.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; MBA preferred.
  • Industry experience in warehouse automation, warehouse software, WMS systems, or other relevant software platforms.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office and MS CRM.
  • Experience in team and national account selling strongly preferred.
  • Previous consultative selling or consulting experience preferred.
  • Experience with warehouse management and/or material handling systems preferred.
  • Strong engineering capabilities and a love for the Strategic Selling Process.
  • Outstanding demonstrated performance in preceding career paths.
  • Superior communication skills: written, verbal, email.
