About the position

The Warehouse Specialist supports CCBC by ensuring that all the inventory inside of the four walls of the production facility is present and accounted for and in peak condition. For raw materials, that process starts when product is unloaded and continues until it is put away. For finished goods, the process starts just when the raw materials are pulled from storage to staging and continues until the finished goods are leaving the facility for a distribution center. This is a 2nd shift position, Monday - Friday 12:00pm to 8:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Use the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to rotate products, ensuring older stock is used first to maintain product freshness and minimize waste.
  • Effectively manage the storage and movement of raw materials and finished goods within the warehouse.
  • Ensure optimal organization of inventory to maximize space and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet production and distribution needs.
  • Prepare and review documentation related to shipping and receiving functions.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts.
  • Generate scheduled reports and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Operate power lifts, hand trucks, carts, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of goods, ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials.
  • Execute daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, transfers and inventory control.
  • Ensure all shipments are accurately picked and dispatched on time.
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders.
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or warehousing preferred.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, including inventory management and material handling.
  • Proficiency in operating power lifts, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as required.
