About the position
The Warehouse Specialist at Kalman & Company, Inc. is responsible for a variety of warehousing activities in support of the Marine Corps Logistics Command. This role involves managing the inventory and logistics of military equipment, ensuring that all processes from receiving to shipping are executed accurately and efficiently. The position plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization and accountability of essential military gear and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform all warehousing activities including issuing, receiving, storing, reconstitution, inventorying, and shipping bulk and individual gear and equipment.
- Receive and unpack shipments promptly and accurately.
- Validate that shipment quantities match shipping documentation.
- Accurately store equipment in appropriate bin/locations within the warehouse.
- Conduct accurate packing and shipping of equipment.
- Pick customer orders.
- Process customer returns.
- Track inventory using warehouse management system.
- Load and unload equipment as needed.
- Organize inventory as outlined in the warehouse inventory procedures.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in warehousing or logistics operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and inventory.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience working with military logistics or equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
