About the position
The Warehouse Specialist at Oneida Technical Solutions is responsible for managing inventory and overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring accuracy in stock management and compliance with DOD 8140 standards, while also maintaining a Secret Clearance. The position requires coordination with various departments to meet operational needs and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate records of stock.
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of goods, ensuring proper labeling and storage according to safety standards.
- Manage the distribution of materials to various departments and coordinate with logistics teams for shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, transfers, and issues.
- Utilize inventory management software to update and track stock levels, ensuring data accuracy.
- Adhere to all safety and security regulations and ensure compliance with DOD 8140 standards.
- Provide support to internal stakeholders regarding inventory and material availability.
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in warehouse management is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems.
- Ability to handle physical tasks and operate warehouse equipment.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Must meet DOD 8140 compliance requirements.
