About the position

The Warehouse Specialist at Stericycle is responsible for managing the shredding operations, which includes receiving, segregating, and loading waste paper into shredders, as well as performing various warehouse support duties. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility, contributing to a clean and secure working environment, and supporting the local operations team in preparing for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Unload shredded paper, media, and products from trucks at the assigned branch nightly.
• Reload trucks with specific equipment needed for the next day's assignment.
• Operate and maintain baling machinery at the branch.
• Stage or load paper bales for shipment as required.
• Perform shredding operations in support of the off-site shredding program.
• Safeguard plant hardware and equipment by locking and activating security systems.
• Operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area according to company standards.
• Clean truck compartments and cabs nightly in accordance with company guidelines.
• Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintain supplies for plant operations.
• Address security and safety matters related to operations, reporting concerns to management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• 6+ months experience as a certified forklift driver and basic maintenance is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with a history of good driving records.
• Forklift Certification is preferred.
