About the position

As the Supervisor of Supply Chain Operations at GXO, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment that enhances employee morale and productivity. Your focus will be on building a culture of engagement, ensuring adherence to company policies, and maintaining effective communication across all levels of the organization. This position requires a proactive approach to managing staff and operations, with an emphasis on safety and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Establish work schedules, assign jobs, and train staff.
  • Guide, counsel, and encourage employees to improve their potential and champion high standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with on-site customers and other key partners.
  • Provide a safe and secure work environment through training and safety inspections.
  • Assist with evaluating employee performance, providing written and verbal feedback.
  • Implement and carry out all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret Level Security Clearance issued by the U.S. State Department.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and computerized scanner equipment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field, or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience.
  • 3 years of export experience.
  • Active Dangerous Goods certification.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment.
  • Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience.
