About the position

The Warehouse Supervisor for the Parts Distribution Center in East Syracuse, New York, is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily operations on the 3rd shift. This role involves mentoring and providing leadership to warehouse associates, ensuring work is assigned and completed on time, and overseeing training and development. The supervisor will also evaluate performance, implement changes in procedures, and foster a safe work environment while supporting the organization's TPS culture.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily operations at the Parts Distribution Center.
• Mentor and provide leadership to 3rd shift warehouse associates.
• Assign and review work accomplished by staff, ensuring completion dates are met.
• Oversee training and development of subordinate staff.
• Estimate personnel needs and interpret organizational policies.
• Provide data and analysis concerning departmental and individual performance.
• Plan and schedule work for maximum effective utilization of employees and equipment.
• Conduct performance appraisals and make hiring decisions.
• Foster a safe work environment and encourage associate participation in Kaizen.
• Support the organization's TPS culture.

Requirements

• 2+ years of warehousing experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and manually lift/move parts up to 50 pounds.

Nice-to-haves

• An Associate's Degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory/management role.
