About the position

The Warehouse Picker Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receiving, storage, and distribution of items within the warehouse. This role ensures that operations run smoothly and efficiently, meeting the needs of both internal and external customers. The supervisor will maintain an organized warehouse, implement process improvements, and ensure safety standards are met while supervising a team of up to twelve members.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay-out, and maintain an efficient warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Examine and inspect warehouse conditions to identify problems and cost-saving measures.
• Take corrective action as needed to address issues in the warehouse.
• Assist the team as needed, demonstrating a hands-on approach.
• Listen to employee and manager feedback, evaluate suggestions, and implement plans of action.
• Develop and recommend process improvement ideas to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify safety hazards and take corrective actions to minimize risks.
• Ensure warehouse activities related to shipping, picking, and receiving comply with company policies.
• Inspect shipping parcels for adequate packaging to prevent damage during shipment.
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned team members, ensuring effective coordination and evaluation.
• Train, plan, assign, and direct work for team members; assist in performance evaluations and address complaints.

Requirements

• Experience with Cherry Picker and Stand-up lift operations is required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
• Experience in warehouse operations and logistics management.

• Experience in process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in warehouse settings.

Benefits

• Competitive pay rate based on experience, between $20-$24 per hour.
• Monday to Friday work schedule from 7am to 3:30pm.
