About the position

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for planning, overseeing, and participating in warehouse operations and activities. This role includes training and providing work direction to assigned personnel, ensuring the warehouse is maintained in a safe and orderly condition, and acting as a point of contact for various stakeholders. The supervisor will also handle administrative functions, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, oversee and participate in warehouse operations and activities.
  • Train and provide work direction to assigned personnel.
  • Receive, process, and issue warehouse stock.
  • Maintain stock and warehouse facility in a safe, clean, and orderly condition following GMP/AIB guidelines.
  • Be the site representative for safety, quality, and maintenance issues.
  • Act as the point of contact for landlord, vendors, customer auditors, and other visitors.
  • Receive, identify, mark, and place materials sent to the warehouse according to established procedures.
  • Operate computer to process reports, forms, and maintain inventory of warehouse materials as required.
  • Train and learn customer picks to call in freight and backfill for scheduling customer orders.
  • Cycle count to correct raw materials/finished goods discrepancies per Accounting Policies.
  • Understand how to reprint labels for production and shipping as needed.
  • Maintain a variety of records, files, and reports; maintain records of stock and place requests for supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with providing necessary security within the warehouse.
  • Communicate with personnel, departments, and others to provide and receive information, resolve questions and issues, and coordinate activities.
  • Operate a variety of warehouse equipment and utilize hand tools as required; arrange for maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Drive forklift and cover vacations, absences, and as needed.
  • Hold weekly communication meetings with documented date, duration, attendees, and topics covered.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.
  • Five years of increasingly responsible experience in a warehouse facility.
  • 3-5 years' work experience in production and warehouse.
  • Driver's License and forklift license required.
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) and SAP.
