The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of receiving, selection, and loading of products within the warehouse. This role is crucial in maintaining productivity levels among hourly team members and ensuring that the operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position is based in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and is part of Roundy's, which merged with The Kroger Company in 2015. Roundy's operates over 140 stores under various retail banners, including Pick ‘n Save and Metro Market in Wisconsin and Mariano's in Illinois. The Warehouse Supervisor will also be responsible for planning production and staffing needs, managing safety and sanitation practices, and ensuring order accuracy requirements are met.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of receiving, selection, and loading of products.
  • Maintain productivity levels for hourly team members.
  • Communicate with fellow supervisors and the Manager on daily operational activities.
  • Manage and promote safety and sanitation in all areas of the warehouse.
  • Plan production and staffing needs on a daily, weekly, and periodic basis.
  • Work collaboratively with other areas to maximize productivity and performance.
  • Monitor and meet all order accuracy requirements and expectations.
  • Conduct meetings with hourly associates to discuss performance and expectations.
  • Oversee personnel records for all associates in the warehouse.
  • Help develop and train hourly associates to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Generate productivity reports regarding labor standards and account for all labor hours, adhering to budget requirements.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in their duties, completing performance reviews and providing feedback.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • High School diploma or greater (degree preferred).
  • Two or more years of leadership experience.
  • Highly motivated and energetic with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Strong analytical skills to report and recommend solutions to challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer software, especially MS Word and Excel.
