Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, including pickers, packers, forklift operators, and other support staff.
  • Assign tasks, monitor work performance, and ensure team productivity.
  • Provide training and support to warehouse staff on policies, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Schedule shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with procurement and sales departments to manage stock levels.
  • Monitor and improve warehouse layout for efficient storage and space utilization.
  • Ensure that inventory systems are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Work closely with the inventory team to ensure products are stored correctly and rotated effectively (e.g., FIFO).
  • Ensure warehouse operations are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Enforce safety protocols, including the use of proper PPE and handling equipment safely.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or violations.
  • Ensure that warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery, is maintained in good working condition.
  • Report any malfunctions or repair needs and coordinate with maintenance teams.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on warehouse performance metrics such as productivity, stock levels, and order fulfillment.
  • Report any operational issues, delays, or challenges to management.
  • Liaise with customers or internal teams regarding delivery schedules, order statuses, and any discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate communication with other departments to maintain customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in warehouse or logistics management.
  • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets).
