About the position

The position involves overseeing Customer Order Fulfillment, Inbound Receiving, and Inventory Control within a leading industrial distribution company. The role requires direct leadership of up to 50 team members, ensuring accurate product receipt, order fulfillment, and optimization of resources and processes to meet customer needs. The position emphasizes compliance, process improvements, and fostering an engaging work environment for team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Customer Order Fulfillment, Inbound Receiving, and Inventory Control.
• Provide direct leadership to up to 50 team members.
• Ensure accurate receipt of product and order fulfillment.
• Optimize resources and processes to provide timely products to customers.
• Manage processes to ensure compliance and implement improvements.
• Promote programs that create an engaging and empowering environment for team members.
• Analyze performance data to identify process variations or exceptions.
• Support Distribution Center wide projects and ensure deliverables are completed on time.
• Develop employee engagement and recognition programs.
• Manage the development process for non-exempt direct reports, including training and performance evaluations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement using LEAN, DMAIC, and Six Sigma tools.
• Emphasize training and implement audit systems to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years previous leadership or supervisor experience in a customer order fulfillment environment.
• Ability to lift, slide and lower packages up to 50 lbs, and possibly up to 75 lbs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP, and warehouse management systems.
