The Warehouse Support role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the Distribution Center (DC). Associates in this position are responsible for a variety of activities that include scheduling inbound and outbound activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with vendor requirements. They play a critical role in supporting the overall efficiency of the DC by performing administrative and clerical duties that assist specific functional areas. This may involve ensuring that the necessary hardware is operational, allowing other associates to work effectively and meet production and customer service goals. In addition to these responsibilities, Warehouse Support associates must collaborate effectively with other team members, vendors, and carriers. They are expected to work with minimal supervision while demonstrating strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills. Building relationships with internal suppliers and customers is crucial for driving quality and accuracy within the DC, as well as providing exceptional service to the stores served by the DC. Adherence to Home Depot's safety policies and procedures is paramount in these roles, ensuring a safe working environment for all associates. Specific positions within Warehouse Support may include roles such as Outbound Coordinator, Transportation Coordinator, Inventory Control Associate, AP Auditor, DC Systems Coordinator, Customer Service Coordinator, HR Coordinator, General Office Associate, General Maintenance Associate, and Administrative Assistant. Each of these roles contributes to the overall functionality and success of the Distribution Center, making the Warehouse Support team a vital component of the operation.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule inbound and outbound activities in the Distribution Center.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy within processing areas.
  • Maintain system and process quality as well as vendor compliance.
  • Perform administrative and general office/clerical duties in support of functional areas within the DC.
  • Ensure the DC has required functioning hardware for efficient operations.
  • Work cooperatively with other associates, vendors, and carriers.
  • Build relationships with internal suppliers/customers and functional groups at the DC.
  • Follow Home Depot safety policies and procedures.
