The Warehouse Management System (WMS) Administrator plays a crucial role in the deployment and sustainability of the Warehouse Management System. This position requires a deep understanding of best practices and configuration capabilities for the WMS, ensuring that the system is effectively utilized to meet the operational needs of the warehouse. The WMS Administrator will be responsible for understanding newly released features in the product and industry trends, collaborating with business technology partners to deploy applicable capabilities that enhance warehouse operations. In this role, the WMS Administrator will lead the organization and management of test environments in partnership with IT business partners. They will oversee regression testing, upgrades, and integration improvements post-go-live, ensuring that user acceptance criteria are met. Monitoring integrations, performance, and the overall effectiveness of the WMS is a key responsibility, along with initiating and completing corrective actions as necessary. The administrator will provide day-to-day support for the WMS, which includes monitoring integrations, batch jobs, and performance metrics, and escalating issues when required. The WMS Administrator will also be responsible for triaging critical issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and leading resolutions. As the system administrator, they will manage user configurations, master data, and role privileges within the WMS. Training other subject matter experts (SMEs) on the system will be part of their duties, ensuring that knowledge is effectively cascaded throughout the organization. Communication is vital in this role, as the administrator will need to report on the status of work in progress, escalate issues, and ensure that initiatives are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, the WMS Administrator will configure new finished goods and dry goods in the WMS while validating master data in SAP. They will also be responsible for validating carrier names, entering SCAC codes, and service levels. Systematic validation of inventory on storage trailers to match orders created in SAP is essential. The role also involves driving process improvements and analytics as a business partner for the warehouse, owning data analytics, dashboard creation, system optimization, and EOB reconciliation practices. This position is on-site and requires the ability to travel up to 20% to support implementations and provide on-site assistance when needed.
