About the position

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for managing the intake and shipping of materials within the facility, ensuring proper inventory management, and maintaining organization in the warehouse. This role requires adherence to safety and compliance regulations due to the heavily regulated nature of the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, unload, store, and deliver materials/products internally.
  • Track actions within Microsoft Dynamics and other relevant software.
  • Keep accurate records of receipts and shipments, highlighting any product handling issues.
  • Pull supplies from inventory and prepare them for production.
  • Maintain weekly inventory reconciliation.
  • Keep the warehouse receiving/shipping areas neat and orderly.
  • Perform cycle counting responsibilities.
  • Receive and check inbound goods for accuracy and place them in the proper location.
  • Verify packing lists against purchase orders to ensure accurate delivery of items.
  • Prepare items for shipment following company standards.
  • Support and participate in inventory and cycle count activities including reconciliation.
  • Maximize effectiveness of space in the warehouse.
  • Follow department-specific work instructions and SOPs.
  • Train new hires on standard SOPs and responsibilities.
  • Safely operate a variety of manual and powered material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Report safety incidents/concerns and comply with follow-up actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment, and machinery as directed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Effective time-management skills, organization, communication, and simple math skills.
  • Ability to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasks.
  • Pallet stacker, pallet jack, and/or forklift experience preferred.
  • One to two years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Inventory, data entry, and basic computer skills experience preferred.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must possess valid state ID.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain state badging requirements to work in the cannabis industry.
