About the position
The Warehouse Loader/Unloader position at UniFirst is essential for ensuring the efficient flow of clean and soiled garments and products within the branch warehouse. This role involves unloading, sorting, and loading products while adhering to safety and operational guidelines. Responsibilities
- Unload clean products from transport shuttles
- Stage clean garments by route and day to ensure accurate delivery
- Remove soiled and clean return products from route trucks
- Sort soiled products by class and material
- Load soiled products onto transport shuttle for return to plant
- Load garments and additional facility service products onto trucks in preparation for route deliveries
- Monitor facility service inventory levels and notify management of shortages
- Move delivery trucks on company property as necessary
- Perform light janitorial duties including sweeping, emptying trash, and maintaining a clean warehouse
- Follow all safety policies, HACCP and medical guidelines
- Perform other duties as described by area supervisor or management.
Requirements
- High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record is required
- Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using American standard units in weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
