About the position

The Warehouse Loader/Unloader position at UniFirst is a vital role within the Production Team, responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of clean and soiled garments and products. This position offers on-the-job training and promotes a family-oriented culture, emphasizing work-life balance with weekends off and opportunities for career advancement.

Responsibilities

• Unload clean products from transport shuttles
• Stage clean garments by route and day to ensure accurate delivery
• Remove soiled and clean return products from route trucks
• Sort soiled products by class and material
• Load soiled products onto transport shuttle for return to plant
• Load garments and additional facility service products onto trucks in preparation for route deliveries
• Monitor facility service inventory levels and notify management of shortages
• Perform light janitorial duties including sweeping, emptying trash, picking up litter, and cleaning the warehouse
• Follow all safety policies, HACCP and medical guidelines
• Perform other duties as described by area supervisor or management

Requirements

• High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred
• Must be at least 16 years of age or older
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate machinery
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using American standard units in weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
