Warehouse Worker/Cover Driver

About the position

The Warehouse Worker/Temporary Cover Driver at UPS plays a dual role, working primarily as a warehouse worker and stepping in as a cover driver when needed. This position involves physically active work, including loading and unloading packages, as well as delivering them to customers. The role requires excellent customer service and driving skills, making it essential for candidates to be friendly and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work as a warehouse worker for 3 ½ - 5 hours each day, loading and unloading packages.
• Drive UPS trucks to deliver packages when functioning as a Temporary Cover Driver for 8 - 10 hours each day.
• Maintain excellent customer contact and driving skills while delivering packages.
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines and wear the company-provided uniform.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Stamina for physically demanding work.
• Valid driver's license (Type varies by State).
• Pass the DOT physical examination.
• Excellent customer contact and driving skills.
• Legal right to work in the U.S.
