About the position

Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse dock associates for a full-time position on the first shift. This role is ideal for individuals who prioritize safety and possess a positive attitude, aiming to thrive in a warehouse environment. The position involves various tasks related to freight handling and requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

Responsibilities

• Count and confirm freight volume given by customers and match BOL's
• Scan freight to Penske's tracking system
• Consolidate and wrap freight for efficiency
• Sort and place parts in racks or other designated areas
• Load freight to assigned doors and trailers
• Complete all necessary paperwork associated with freight handling
• Follow all safety requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements

• No prior warehouse experience required but preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Customer service skills and ability to deal with others
• Multi-tasking and organizational skills required
• Flexible and excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to work the required schedule and at the specific location required
• Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required
