About the position
Penske Logistics is seeking warehouse associates for their third shift operations. This role is ideal for individuals who prioritize safety and possess a positive attitude, aiming to thrive in a warehouse environment. The position involves various tasks related to staging, sorting, and handling products, ensuring a clean and safe workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Stage and sort products for loading
- Load and unload trailers in a safe manner
- Sort and place parts in racks or other designated areas
- Break down pallets and sort freight
- Scan freights/parts
- Stack cardboard boxes and pallets
- Move materials within the warehouse
- May operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts as needed
- Follow all safety requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- No prior warehouse experience required but preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Customer service skills and ability to deal with others
- Multi-tasking and organizational skills required
- Excellent with numbers and time management skills required
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to work the required schedule and at the specific location required
- Complete a Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required
