About the position

As a Customer Service Representative Fueler/Washer at Penske, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and safe before they hit the road. You will be responsible for conducting vehicle readiness inspections, which include checking tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items. In addition to these responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to build your skills through training and hands-on coaching. This includes performing minor repairs such as installing mounted tires, replacing or rotating tires, and conducting preventive maintenance repairs. The position offers a pathway for growth, allowing you to advance to a technician role as you gain experience and knowledge in vehicle maintenance processes. You will receive comprehensive training on advanced vehicle maintenance technology, ensuring you are well-equipped to handle the demands of the job. Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers and ensuring they have a great experience while fueling and washing vehicles
  • Performing vehicle readiness inspections to check tires, fluids, and other basic maintenance items
  • Maintaining clean and safe facilities for customers and associates
  • Building skills through training and hands-on coaching to perform minor repairs such as installing mounted tires and conducting preventive maintenance repairs
  • Completing other projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or prior work experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Willingness to work outside
  • Basic mechanical ability and tool usage (preferred)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, and regulations established by Penske management
  • Ability to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to maintain a current driver qualification file as required by the role
