About the position
The Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator position involves performing various tasks in a warehouse environment, including moving commodities, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety regulations are followed. The role requires dependability, responsibility, and the ability to work at a fast pace while being organized and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
- Moving of commodity throughout the campus
- Painting work on campus building floors, pipes, etc.
- Cleaning and moving charred and new wood and plastic pallets
- Repacking cups, tins, foam, and other commodities
- Reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations
- Shoveling snow during winter months
Requirements
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and make good decisions
- Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
