About the position

The Warehouse Worker (Freezer) position at Pacific Seafood involves assisting with various warehouse-related activities, primarily in a freezer environment. The role focuses on receiving, inventory management, and order processing, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in department meetings that cover safety, quality, and productivity issues.
• Work with transport drivers to ensure incoming loads are received promptly.
• Review receiving documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain the warehouse configuration according to the approved layout for product, packaging, and equipment storage.
• Properly load a pallet ensuring loads are stable and secure.
• Achieve cost-effective standards for all warehouse activities.
• Practice good housekeeping skills, including cleaning up spills and reporting hazards.
• Follow all established safety rules and obey safety signs and tags.
• Properly operate the forklift, pallet jack, and other necessary powered equipment.
• Inspect product for quality and ensure proper tagging and rotation of pallets.
• Utilize pick tickets to pick, pack, and load orders accurately.
• Verify that all return labels have been approved before placing products back in inventory.
• Understand and perform all appropriate HACCP plans assigned.
• Ensure product is fully received, rotation is complete, and staged in correct quantities.
• Report all needed repairs and ensure preventive maintenance is performed on equipment.
• Perform necessary emergency replenishment for products that run below minimum levels.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No experience necessary, willing to train on the job.

Nice-to-haves

• Forklift and pallet jack experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Driver's License.
