About the position
The Warehouse Worker II position at Palmetto Goodwill involves assisting drivers in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring that merchandise is sorted and processed efficiently. This role is critical in maintaining the flow of goods within the warehouse and ensuring that all items are handled safely and in compliance with regulatory standards. The worker will be responsible for unloading or loading trucks at the dock, sorting merchandise into appropriate containers for processing and distribution, and maintaining a clean and safe working area. Adherence to all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards is essential, as is compliance with CARF, Department of Labor, and other regulatory standards. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, requiring flexibility and a willingness to adapt to various tasks within the warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Unload or load trucks at the dock.
- Sort merchandise into containers for processing and distribution.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area.
- Comply with all agency policies, procedures, and safety standards throughout work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Must have dependable transportation.
- Able to use pallet jack, two-wheel dollies, and four-wheel carts.
- Able to sort and pack merchandise for safe storage or transport.
- Must be able to read and write.
